I ticked another item off the bucket list last week when I visited the Toyota Corolla manufacturing plant in Burnaston, Derbyshire, UK with the Dublin Lean network. It was inspirational to observe the employee commitment to continuous mixed model one-piece flow manufacturing, as they proudly escorted us around this vast site. The day-long visit also included presentations by the Toyota management team and an open Q&A at the end. Many thanks to Steve Halpin of Lean Teams for organising the trip.
