Our Approach
Lean Ireland consultants use a Lean team-based and collaborative approach in our consulting contracts. We communicate regularly and openly (whilst safeguarding confidentiality where required). We have a policy of ‘no surprises’. Our approach not only addresses immediate issues but also positions your organization for future growth through continuous improvement and innovation.
- Strategic Planning: We start by understanding your organization’s goals and objectives. Our consultant then works with you to design a tailored approach to process improvement. The aim is to use Lean and Six Sigma principles and practices to address your challenges and drive process improvements across departments.
- Assessment: We conduct an assessment, in collaboration with your team, of your current operations, identifying areas of waste, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies. Through data analysis, we provide insights into potential opportunities for improvement. You then decide as a team which priorities you would like us to work on – given time, resources, budget and the targted outcomes.
- Communication: Effective communication is essential for change. Our consultant works with stakeholders at all levels, from leaders to entry level staff, ensuring clear understanding and buy-in throughout the process. At all stage the relevant staff are involved or informed of the deciosn making process and the reasons for change.
- Training and Skill Development: We provide Lean and Six Sigma training tailored to your team’s needs, empowering them with the tools to maintain improvements. Our certified trainers offer a range of courses from A3 problem silving, Yellow Belt team project certification up to significant Black Belt project certification. We provide ongoing mentoring of staff thorugh the learning journey to ensure tools and skills are applied to effect measureble improvement. Our aim is to enable you to continue the journey after the consultant has left the building.
- Measuring Results and Continuous Improvement: Success is defined by measurable outcomes. In consultataion with you we implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance. At regular intervals throughout the engagement we meet with managers and employees to track results and report on progress. Adjustments to the programme are made as necessary along the programme journey.

Specialist support
On occasion you made need some specialist support in targeted areas. We offer a contract black belt service, where a senior consultant works with your team over a period of weeks or months, as if he were a memeber of staff. This may be required wehre resources opn site are scarce e.g. during the implementation of and ERP system, a warehouse expansion or taking on a new produict or service.
In addition we provide data analysis services for clients on a regular basis. This may inviolve the interpretation of laboratory results and report development, selection of KPIs and the development of a performance dasboard, or live tracking of system performance and reporting in statistical process (SPC) charts.
